It’s been another busy week here at Extra Hands, the start of the week saw us all getting back to normal after The Beast From The East had given us many challenges to deal with over the previous few days, we are forever grateful to all our staff who worked so hard and battled on despite the horrendous conditions to visit their service users and make sure that they were safe and well. We received lots of lovely compliments from family members and service users that were reassured that Extra Hands was still going to be there for them when they needed it the most, so well done everyone it was a great team effort.
We welcomed the arrival of Rosie Newstead’s little baby girl Sophia Mavis who was born on the 2nd March at 7.36am weighing 6lbs and 13 ounces. Congratulations to Rosie and her family she is gorgeous.
One of our Rapid Response Carer’s Nina Tye gained a promotion and joined our Norwich Office as our new Care Co-Ordinator. Nina has been with Extra Hands since 2012 and has an excellent knowledge of care which is vital for her new role. We wish her all the best and are very pleased to welcome her to the administration team.
And last but by no means least we have been up to our winning ways again – this time at the Apprenticeship Of The Year Awards at the College Of West Anglia, the awards were held at King’s Lynn Town Hall on the 7th March and we are delighted to announce that Lorren Payne was given the ‘Apprenticeship Of The Year Award’ for all her hard work and determination completing her advanced level apprenticeship in Health & Social Care. Lorren has been with us for two years and Managing Director Anita Walter had this to say “Lorren is an excellent member of the team who always goes that extra mile and her caring skills and easy-going personality suit her role perfectly”. “Lorren is a keen learner and always wants to improve her skills - happy to turn her hand to anything and always acting in a professional manner, her maturity exceeds her age”. Lorren is looking forward to progressing onto the Level 4 qualification. Huge congratulations Lorren from everyone at Extra Hands we are very proud of you.
