There was cake of just about every description at our fundraising coffee morning organised to help boost the finances of a great charity.
Many of us were busy baking for the annual event on Friday to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support and all the hard work proved popular at the gathering held at Heacham Church Rooms.
The delicious Victoria Sponge proved to be one of the most popular on the table and we served around 20 cups of coffee for our guests.
We had a wonderful morning in Heacham and it was nice to enjoy a cuppa and cake while helping a fantastic charity. We raised more than £150 from the events at Heacham and also at our Broadland offices, where the tombola was very popular.
It is the latest in a number of events we have hosted this year to ensure our older residents, service users, friends and families have the chance to socialise and chat with other people.
The coffee morning offered plenty of choice for visitors and the array of tasty cakes proved to be incredibly popular among visitors who made donations for Macmillan.
It is the sixth year we have taken part in the Macmillan coffee morning and the event was one of a number organised during the year so far to raise money for charity while bringing service users together for a social event.
We are already looking forward to the 1940s event we are organising at Holt Community Centre on Thursday, November 14 from 3pm to 5pm. It will be another free event, open to anyone.
