Cupcakes galore greeted visitors to a special West Norfolk event raising money for the Alzheimer’s Society and celebrating our award of Outstanding.
There was a medley of Beatles songs from Heacham Junior School choir who brought a tear to the eye of their audience with a rendition of Keep the Home Fires Burning at the Church Hall.
The 20-strong choir of eight to 11-year-olds provided a musical accompaniment to the Alzheimer’s Society Cupcake Day celebration and, aside from the medley, also performed Beatles numbers Let it Be and Help to a packed hall, led by teacher Debbie Seymour.
But the music didn’t end there as a choir from the U3A (University of the Third Age) joined proceedings with a rendition of popular tunes from the past - from Daisy, Daisy to When You’re Smiling.
It was lovely to see so many members of the local community, our service users, friends and family at the event
The cupcakes were beautiful and proved to be really popular with our guests. Not only was it a chance to raise money for a great charity, but it was a really nice way to celebrate our award of Outstanding.
The Care Quality Commission inspected our Heacham office earlier this year and awarded us an overall Outstanding status.
