We are meeting all the shortlisted nominees ahead of this year's Gill Chase Award, which will be announced on December 11. They have all been put forward for special recognition for their hard work and dedication in the annual event to celebrate our fantastic staff.
Susan joined Extra Hands in 2013 and covers the Heacham area for her service users.
Her nomination papers describe her as always cheerful and willing to do anything for those she looks after.
“She knows his ways with his dementia and is very caring and always talks to him when washing and dressing him,” says one form.
“My mother has quite a few quirks and she goes along with them as if they were perfectly normal,” says another nomination.
Susan is described as very caring and always willing to chat and communicate.
“She must hear the same thing over and over again, but she always listens. Nothing is too much trouble, she is always cheerful, smiling and would do anything.”
